Expect the Unexpected brings weekly episodes that include discussions with college students and professionals. My guests and I will talk about how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our day-to-day lives, our concerns, and what we are doing to get through.
Not long after learning about the COVID-19 pandemic, I found out that there was one confirmed case in Washington. Then, I saw that number increase and the location expand beyond the borders of Washington.
Some people are feeling anxious, confused, and overwhelmed with the pandemic, constant news, and day-to-day changes to what is known about the virus. Gyms, restaurants, universities, and more are closing their doors.
I am noticing that many of my peers are sharing stories about how this experience is impacting them.
That is where this podcast comes in. As we binge-watch the news with some of the more horrific consequences of COVID-19, the stories I've been hearing from my fellow college students are also important.
I hope this podcast will be a resource for college students. I hope they realize that they are not alone in working through this new, temporary, lifestyle. They can share their stories with me but they can also share their stories with the world.
Together, we can build a community and help each other change the narrative of how we approach these unexpected times.
